1. Texas abortion-related search (May 2025)
- **Records:** the **Johnson County, TX Sheriff's Office** ran a **nationwide search of
~83,000 Flock cameras**; the search log stated the reason as **"had an abortion, search
for female."**

- **Response:** the sheriff and Flock stated the search related to a **missing-person /
welfare** concern for the woman, not enforcement. Critics noted the logged reason and the

2. Illinois ↔ Texas cross-state tracking → state audit

woman who obtained abortion care) triggered an **Illinois state audit**, which found Flock
had given **U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)** access to Illinois cameras through
an **undisclosed pilot program.**
- **Outcome:** **47 agencies** removed from access; **Evanston** terminated its contract and
deactivated **19 cameras**; **Oak Park** terminated as well. Flock said it would **pause
federal pilot programs nationwide.**
3. Federal agency access (2025–2026)

the **Secret Service**, and the **Navy's criminal investigation division** all had access
to Flock's nationwide network. **HSI performed ~200 searches.**

2024.
- **Dayton, OH (audit, May 2026):** **7,100+ immigration-enforcement searches**, prohibited
under city policy; officials called them "egregious."

**indirectly** through state/local customers' data-sharing settings.
4. Immigration hotlist / NCIC comparison
